Become a Partner
We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in New York. We provide funding through partnerships with local organizations working with children and youth around the world. Our grants are offered to empower children and youth through the provision of quality formal education, gender equity and capacity building, offering “a chance in life” and promoting their full potential.
We are committed to selecting partners who align with our mission and values, and those organizations that are impacting the lives of at-risk children and youth. We use the following eligibility criteria and selection guidelines to help us keep this commitment.
We partner with organizations who:
- Are officially registered in their country as non-profit or non-governmental organizations.
- Live in the community where they serve.
- Target at-risk children and youth.
- Have been serving at-risk children and youth for at least 5 years.
- Are constantly learning and looking for ways to improve what they do.
- Have the technical capacity to carry out development projects focused on achieving results.
- Understand that they can have greater impact working in collaboration with other organizations.
- Focus on one or all of our thematic areas: Education, Gender Equity and Youth Empowerment.
- Protect the children and youth they serve through a child protection policy or agree to develop one in the meantime they use our International Child Protection Policy.
Does your organization
meet the above requirements?
If yes, we want to meet you!
Si su organización cumple con los requerimientos mínimos, nos gustaría conocerlos.
Please note that we will likely only contact you if and when we have funding that matches your organizational profile.
For our Partners
We only accept applications from our already-established partners (If you have not previously received grants from A Chance In Life, please refer to the guidelines above). Our grant management process is a competitive one. Being a partner does not mean that grant proposals are automatically approved. All proposals are evaluated on the basis of content quality, alignment to our mission and the issues being addressed by the partner.
