Rehimush, a fourth-year university student at FIDA, A Chance In Life’s Partner program in Ethiopia, stands as an inspiring mentor to her peers. “Before I joined FIDA, my family was very worried about the lack of educational materials,” Rehimush recalls, underscoring the challenges she faced. “And I would have felt bad and lacked confidence. But after I joined FIDA, these problems were solved.”
Her journey with the Partner program has been transformative, offering her not only solutions to her own obstacles but also a platform to uplift others. Recently, she took part in co-hosting a Youth Empowerment Workshop alongside program staff, where she focused on the theme of self-confidence. Reflecting on her experience, Rehimush shares, “I think I learned a lot and imparted a lot of things in the workshop I hosted.”
Rehimush’s story underscores the profound impact of educational support systems. Through our Partner program, she not only accessed vital educational resources but also unearthed her capacity to motivate and guide others.
Looking forward, Rehimush has ambitious plans. Following graduation, she hopes to continue her studies abroad and find a fulfilling professional opportunity.
